Field Exploration

If warranted, BOYD will design an exploration program to assess mining reserve quantity, quality, and mineability; supervise program implementation; and evaluate results. The scope may range from reconnaissance level field investigations to intensive mine development drilling by skilled geologists.

BOYD understands the unique aspects of remote-location logistics-such as equipment, procurement, accessibility, and staff accommodations. To define specific site conditions or general geologic trends, we use remote sensing and geotechnical and hydrological testing.

Beyond exploration, BOYD will analyze the raw data and develop geologic models of the coal or mineral deposit.
